Road traffic collision

2 fire appliances from Crediton and Danes Castle (Exeter) were mobilised following a request for our assistance from Ambulance to a one vehicle RTC, outside Crediton Garden Centre on the A377 at Barnstaple Cross, Crediton, after a car had left the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its roof. On arrival and after assessing the driver, who was still in the vehicle, it was established that urgent extrication of the casualty was required. Once extricated crews rendered immediate medical assistance, awaiting the arrival of Ambulance crews. Once on scene the casualty was treated by both land Ambulance paramedics and Air Ambulance specialists, whilst Fire Service crews assisted them and made the vehicle and scene safe. Once the incident was under control, duty of care was left with the Police.
