Road traffic collision

A call was received at Fire Control from the Police reporting a collision involving two vehicles with someone trapped.

Crews were immediately sent to the scene and found that a car had been in collision with a flat bed lorry, and there was one person still trapped within the vehicle.

E-draulic cutting equipment, small tools and stabilisation equipment was used to release the casualty and make the vehicle safe. Three further walking wounded were also assessed by Ambulance service and all four were transferred to hospital.
