Property fire

Two fire engines were mobilised following calls to Control reporting an alarm activating in a block of flats and reports of smoke in the communal hallway. Upon arrival crews confirmed that one of the flats was heavily smoke logged.

Throughout the incident crews used:

• Two breathing apparatus
• One hose reel jet
• One attack jet
• One safety jet
• One thermal image camera
• One positive pressure ventilation fan

One male was reported as suffering from smoke inhalation and was left with Ambulance for assessment and ongoing care.

The cause is believed to be accidental.
