We have eight fire engines, one water bowser, one aerial ladder platform and other supporting appliances at an incident in Taunton. 

Crews are at work using:

  • Compressed air foam
  • Two breathing apparatus
  • One hose reel jet
  • One aerial ladder platform 

More details to follow ....

Update at 0725hrs - throughout the night crews have continued to fight the fire. Along with the above equipment crews also used main jets. The incident is now scaling back to a three pump relief crew, along with an aerial ladder platform.

The cause of the fire is to be determined in due course.

 

Update at 21:53 - 1 fire engine and 1 arial ladder platform are still in attendance at this incident monitoring hotspots. The house has been totally destroyed by fire and the cause of this fire is still being investigated. 

Update 07:53 - All crews left the scene late last night. 1 fire engine from Taunton attended again this morning to inspect and have left the scene again now. A further revisit will be made later today.

There will be no further updates now.
