Property fire

Fire control received calls to a smell of burning and fire in a commercial property in Barnstaple. 

When the crews got in attendance the officer in charge confirmed there to be a fire inside the property on the ground floor in the toilets. The crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and 1 thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. Once the smoke had been naturally ventilated from the property the crews used a gas monitor to ensure the building was safe to re-enter.  

All crews have now left scene and there will be no further updates.
