Fire control received multiple calls to a vehicle on fire on Beech Road, Tiverton in the early hours of this morning.
One fire engine from our Tiverton station was mobilised immediately.
On arrival crews confirmed one vehicle was well alight and set to work with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
The fire was in the engine compartment of the vehicle and the cause of the fire has been deemed as accidental.
Police have been notified as the vehicle remains in place on the highway which may cause a hazard to other motorists.
Our crews have now left the scene.
