Fire control received a call from Ambulance requesting our attendance at an RTC on the A39 just west of Minehead.
Control mobilised 2 fire appliances from Minehead and a supporting officer.
Once on scene crews confirmed a 1 vehicle RTC with 1 person still within the vehicle. Crews are working with ambulance to formulate a plan for extricating the casualty.
Update - an extrication plan had been formulated with ambulance and crews are now at work with hydraulic cutting equipment working to release the casualty.
Final update - crews extricated casualty using hydraulic cutting equipment. Casualty is now in the hands of the paramedics and the incident has been left with Police. These are the full and final details.
