Property fire

Fire control received a call from a Hotel near to Burrington reporting a fire in within their spa treatment rooms.

Control mobilised 3 fire appliances from Chumleigh, South Molton and Barnstaple, 1 Aerial Ladder Platform from Barnstaple and a supporting officer.

Once crews arrived on scene they could confirm alarms were and sounding and they were investigating using 2 Breathing Apparatus, 1 Hose reel jet, 1 safety jet and 1 thermal imaging camera.

Update 03:57 - crews confirmed the fire had been located involving a treatment bed and still had 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet and 1 thermal imaging camera in use.

Final update - crews confirmed fire was out. The fire involved a treatment bed and quantity of towels, all of which was severely damaged by fire. To extinguish, crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet and 1 thermal imaging camera. Crews confirmed this cause of this fire to be accidental.
