Property fire

Fire control received multiple calls from the public regarding a property fire on Wyndham Street West, Plymouth. 

Five fire engines from Camels Head, Crownhill, Greenbank and an aerial platform ladder from Crownhill attended the incident alongside an officer. 

Fire crews are still on scene extinguishing the fire. 

Police and ambulance are on scene.

Update 07:20

The fire in a first floor flat has completely destroyed the flat but crews were able to contain the fire to this property using eight breathing apparatus, 4 jets, 2 thermal imaging cameras, 1 gas monitor and positive pressure ventilation. The neighbouring properties experienced smoke logging but have been cleared. 

A joint police and fire investigation will now take place.
