Fire Control received a call from a member of the public reporting a road sweeper on fire. 

Control immediately mobilised 1 Fire Appliance to attend. 

Once on scene crews confirmed 1 road sweeper well alight and got to work using 2 Breathing Apparatus, 2 Hose Reel Jets and small tools to extinguish the fire. 

Crews successfully extinguished the fire using 2 Breathing Apparatus, 2 Hose Reel Jets, 1 Triple Extension Ladder and 1 Thermal Imaging Camera. Unfortunately the fire caused 70% Fire Damage to the road sweeper, a small amount of hydraulic oil spilt on the roadway - Duty of Care was left in the hands of the Council. 
The fire is believed to have been accidental.
