We received a call from ambulance control requesting our assistance with a road traffic collision in Torquay.
Two fire appliances from Newton Abbot and Torquay were immediately mobilised by Fire Control.
On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed that one female was physically trapped following a road traffic collision where her car had collided with a wall. Crews got to work using hydraulic rescue equipment to free her from the vehicle by removing the roof.
The female casualty was left in the care of the ambulance crew.
