Property Fire

Fire control received reports of a microwave on fire at the above location this evening.

Two fire engines were immediately mobilised from our Paignton fire station.

On arrival crews set to work with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one safety jet.

An ambulance was also requested at the time of call for an adult female suffering from smoke inhalation. Fire crews assisted the casualty with oxygen therapy and was seen by ambulance crews on scene but not conveyed to hospital.

The fire was quickly extinguished with the microwave sustained total damage and slight smoke damage to the room of origin.

Crews have now left the scene.
