Fire Control received a call from Police reporting a road traffic collision involved a tanker and a car on the A303 near Yarcombe.
2 fire engines from Honiton and Chard as well as the Heavy Rescue Unit from Taunton attended.
Fire crews confirmed a road traffic collision involving an articulated lorry carrying non-hazardous waste and an off road vehicle. 1 female was trapped inside the off road vehicle.
Fire crews released the female using stabilisation equipment, small tools and hydraulic cutting equipment. The casualty was left in the hands of Ambulance and the incident was handed over to the Police.
