2 Fire engines were sent to reports of a large vehicle on fire.
On arrival, crews confirmed this to be a fire in a refuse truck carrying general household waste.
The truck was able to empty its contents onto the road to enable crews to extinguish the fire fully and safely.
The fire was extinguished using 1 main jet, 1 thermal imaging camera, 1 short extension ladder and small tools.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
