Fire control received multiple calls to a commercial garage on fire in Tedburn St Mary. 

Control originally mobilised 3 fire appliances from Crediton, Danes Castle (Exeter) and Middlemoor (Exeter), 1 aerial ladder platform from Danes Castle and supporting officer. Due to the nature of the incident and the information received, fire control made the decision to make pumps 4 and send an Hazard materials officer prior to the arrival of any appliances. The fourth appliance was mobilised from Moretonhampstead.

Once on scene, crews confirmed 1 vehicle was well alight within garage and crews were attacking using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 CAFS jet, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet and 1 thermal imaging camera. Due to the nature of the incident, a fire investigation officer was mobilised to establish the cause of the fire. 

Final update @ 01:10 - Fire has been extinguished. Fire involved 1 motor vehicle within commercial garage. 1 vehicle was 100% damaged by fire, 2 other vehicles were 25% damaged by fire, roof to the garage was 25% destroyed by fire and the remainder of the garage suffered 80% smoke damage. Crews used 2 BA, 1 CAFS jet, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet and 1 thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire has been deemed as accidental.
