Road traffic collision
Two fire appliances from Torrington and Barnstaple along with an officer and the Heavy Rescue vehicle and support appliance from Middlemoor were sent to a Road Traffic Collision near Alverdiscott after reports of persons trapped within a vehicle.
On arrival fire crews requested a further fire appliance which was sent from Bideford. Two casualties were still trapped within one vehicle but there had been two vehicles involved in the collision. Ambulance personnel were treating the casualties while fire crews got to work using small tools, spreaders and cutting equipment.
At 12:12 one person was released from the vehicle and the heavy rescue vehicle and support from Middlemoor were stood down.
At 13:10 the second person was released from the vehicle. There was also one male who was not trapped but was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
The female and male released from the same vehicle were both taken to hospital by air ambulance.
Police investigators are still on scene but the fire service have left.
