Fire control received a call from the occupant of a vehicle travelling on the A38 from Forder Valley to Marsh Mills stating their vehicle could be on fire.

Fire control mobilised 2 fire appliances from Crownhill Fire station in Plymouth.

Once crews on scene they confirmed 1 vehicle was smoking. Crews were investigating with 1 thermal imaging camera and extinguishing with 1 hose reel jet.

Final update - crews confirmed there was a small electrical fire at the rear of the car. Crews used 1 hose reel jet and 1 thermal imaging camera. Crews made the vehicle safe. Police also attended this incident due to being on a dual carriagway. This incident was deemed as accidental.
