Property fire

2 fire appliances from our Plymouth stations at Camels Head and Crownhill dealt with a property fire earlier today at Evelyn Street in Plymouth, following a call reporting a fire within a flat. The occupant had safely evacuated at the time of call and within minutes of our initial crew booking in attendance they had located the small fire in the kitchen of the ground floor flat. 2 firefighters in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel jet, followed by a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots. Duty of care was left the Police, investigating the cause of the fire. There were no casualties.
