Vehicle fire

A fire appliance from one of our Plymouth fire stations (Crownhill) was mobilised to Little Dock Lane in Plymouth following a call from the driver of a car that had caught fire whilst being driven. Our crew were on scene within mins and confirmed a small fire had developed on the rear axle of the vehicle. One hose reel jet was used to extinguish it, followed by a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots. The fire was prevented from spreading any further resulting in minimal damage.
