Vehicle fire

A fire appliance from Ivybridge was mobilised to North Road, Lee Mill Industrial Estate, Lee Mill this morning, following calls reporting a motorbike on fire, following an RTC. During the calls the fire spread to some parked vehicles which were all well alight on our arrival. 

Our crew worked quickly to bring the fire under control, involving a motorbike and 2 cars, using 1 hose reel jet and 2 breathing apparatus, followed by a thermal imaging camera and environmental protection equipment. The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was rendered first aid on scene. An ambulance was not required. Once the vehicles were extinguished and the area made safe, duty of care was left with the owners of the vehicles awaiting recovery.
