One fire engine and and off road vehicle from Tavistock, as well as the Specialist Rescue Team from Camels Head, Plymouth attended.

Fire crews confirmed a 2 year old roe deer stuck in a disused reservoir measuring 50 metres by 20 metres approximately 3 metres deep.  Fire crews rescued the deer using safety at height equipment, a gas detector, a salvage sheet and animal rescue equipment.  The deer was handed over to the RSPCA to be checked over before being released.
