We have been called to attend a large fire in the open in North Curry near Taunton. This is a field fire. 10 pumps and our specialised units and all-terrain vehicles have been requested to attend.
Those in the area should keep their windows closed. Please be extra careful on the main road A358 as smoke may drift. Drive slowly.
The incident is now finished.
This was a field measuring 30 acres, which was 50 per cent damaged by fire. The fire was extinguished using:
- Beaters
- Hose Reel Jets
- Foam Jets
The fire was accidental.
