Multiple calls were received reporting a straw baler on fire within a field of cut straw. On arrival crews requested further appliances due to the fire spread.
This was a fire involving 125m x 50 m of cut straw, hedgerow, straw bales and farm machinery. Crews extinguished using three hose reel jets, one main jet and a thermal imaging camera, The cause of the fire was accidental.
