We were called to reports of a fire at the Wetherspoons pub in Newton Abbot.

We sent four fire engines and an aerial appliance.The pub had been evacuated.  

There was a smell of burning but no other signs of fire. Upon investigation, it was found that fumes from an air conditioning unit had caused the alarm to sound.
