Fire control received a call from Ambulance to reports of an 1 vehicle RTC on the A37 near to Yeovil.
Control mobilised 2 fire appliances and a heavy rescue vehicle from Yeovil.
Once on scene, crews confirmed 1 vehicle RTC which had left the highway and was on its side in a hedge with 1 person trapped inside. Crews were at work stabilising the vehicle and formulating a plan of extrication whilst awaiting arrival of ambulance.
Crews confirmed that 1 person was rescued from vehicle and left in the hands of ambulance personnel. Crews used stabilisation equipment and small tools. The incident has now been handed over to police.
