Vehicle fire

Fire Control received a call from the Police requesting our attendance to a fire on the M5.

1 fire engine from Middlemoor and 1 from Danes Castle, Exeter were sent to the location.

On arrival, crews confirmed this to be a vehicle, on the hard shoulder, well alight.

Crews used 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera and small tools to extinguish.

The vehicle was severely damaged by fire and the cause was accidental. 

Duty of care was left with the Police and Highways.
