Property fire

Fire control received a call from the occupants of a property where the garage was involved in fire. Two fire engines from Minehead along with an officer attended the address and confirmed the garage was well alight and got to work with hose reels and jets. 

The fire was contained to the garage on the side of the property. A third fire appliance was requested which came from Williton. Gas and electrics were isolate and breathing apparatus donned to begin ventilatng the property. 

At 5:14 the main fire was extinguished but crews were still damping down and removing tiles checking for fire spread. 

All fire crews have left the incident but there will be a revisit this morning to ensure no fire spread. 

The cause of the fire was deemed accidental.
