Incident - Road Traffic Collision Person Reported

The fire service were called to assist other agencies with a road traffic collision where people were believed to be trapped.

One crew from Holsworthy and one crew from Hatherleigh attended.

On arrival the crews confirmed that there was a road traffic collision involving two cars where four adults and two children were still in the vehicles, on investigation it  was ascertained that only one casualty was medically trapped.

The crews got to work stabilising the vehicle and assisting ambulance personnel to release the casualty using hydraulic cutting equipment. They also made the vehicle safe using one hose reel jet and a dry powder extinguisher. 

All casualties were left in the hands of ambulance personnel.
