Control received multiple calls to a vehicle on fire in Highampton. 1 fire engine from Hatherleigh and 1 fire engine from Holsworthy attended the incident.
On arrival crews confirmed a private 4 x 4 vehicle was well alight on the public highway and got to work with 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hose, 1 compressed air foam system and a thermal imaging camera to identify and tackle the fire.
The vehicle was 100% damaged by fire and the vehicle being towed was 15% damaged by heat. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
