Fire control received a call from a member of public stating a car fire in the Hone hill area near Tiverton.
Control mobilised 1 fire appliance from Tiverton to attend. On arrival crews confirmed 1 car was well alight and they were making efforts to extinguish using breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and fire extinguishers.
Not long after arriving, a make up message was sent to control requesting a second appliance. This was also sent from Tiverton.
Crews confirmed the extinguished the but unfortunately the car was completely destroyed by fire. This is believed to have been on scene. Police also attended this incident.
