Vehicle fire

Fire control received several calls from members of the public reporting a vehicle on fire on the A30 eastbound between Fingle Glen and Alphington. Two crews from Middlemoor and Danes Castle were mobilised.

Crews got to work extinguishing the fire using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, and a foam jet. Highways were also in attendance to assist with traffic control.

The vehicle was 100% damaged by fire and is believed to have started accidentally. The road is now open and these are the full details.
