Vehicle fire

Passers by called Fire Control reporting a vehicle on fire in a layby on the A361 near to South Molton. Fire crews found one van well alight and set about extinguishing the fire using one hose reel jet and a compressed air foam jet (CAFS). Battery operated rescue equipment was used to gain access to the van compartment. The van was 80% damaged by fire and the cause of the fire was accidental.
