Vehicle fire
Fire Control received reports of a large vehicle on fire on the main A39 near Carhampton this morning.
Two fire engines from our Minehead stations were mobilised immediately, supported by a water carrier from our Bridgwater station.
On arrival crews confirmed a fire within the engine compartment of a telehandler, which was situated in a layby off the main road.
Crews set to work with one hose reel jet, small tools, a hydraulic ram and a thermal imaging camera.
The fire is now extinguished and crews have left scene. This has been confirmed as accidental cause.
These are the final details for this incident.
