Fire Control received reports this morning of a telehandler on fire at the above location this morning.
One fire engine from Chard and one from our Honiton stations were mobilised immediately along with a water carrier from our Danes Castle station in Exeter.
On arrival of the first fire engine crews confirmed that smoke and flames were issuing. Crews set to work with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one foam jet, a thermal imaging camera and environmental packs to ensure any hazardous run off did not enter the water course.
The fire is not extinguished and crews confirm the cause to be accidental.
