Fire Control received multiple calls to a vehicle on fire on Wiveliscombe Road this morning.
One fire engine from our Wellington station was mobilised immediately.
On arrival crews confirmed one car was well alight and set to work with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.
A request was made from the scene for a local Highways team to attend as the vehicle remains in a hazardous position to other motorists.
The fire has now been extinguished with the vehicle sustaining 75% damage by fire. Crews confirmed the cause of the fire to be accidental and have now left the scene.
