Vehicle fire

Fire Control received a call from staff at the Waitrose Store in Sidmouth to reports of a vehicle smoking in the car park.

1 Fire engine attended and confirmed that there was a fire involving the engine compartment of the vehicle.

Crews extinguished the fire using 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 hose reel jet and small tools.

The vehicle sustained approx 50% to the engine compartment.
