Vehicle fire

Fire control received a call to a car on fire in the Wraxall area of Shepton Mallet.

Control mobilised 1 fire appliance from Shepton Mallet. As soon as crews arrived on scene they confirmed that the vehicle was well alight and requested the police for traffic management due to location of the vehicle.

Crews were at work with 1 Breathing apparatus and 1 Hose reel jet in use to extinguish the fire. 

Crews confirmed the fire was extinguished which caused severe damage. Crews used 1 BA, 1 HRJ and a thermal imaging camera. The incident was handed over to the vehicle owner who was awaiting recovery.

This incident was deemed as accidental.
