Vehicle fire

A fire appliance from Wellington was mobilised following a call from the owner of a car that had caught fire whilst being driven along the A38 Wellington Road at Bagley Green. On arrival the crew immediately increased the attendance by a further fire appliance from Wellington for crew safety due to the busy conditions of the road. 

Crews soon had the fire under control using breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and foam. Once extinguished, and the vehicle/scene made safe, duty of care was left with the owner awaiting recovery.
