Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received multiple calls reporting a house fire at the above location.

Fire control mobilised three fire appliance from Yeovil and a duty officer to attend this incident.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed smoke and flames issuing and required a further three appliances and the aerial ladder platform to attend this incident.

Fire control immediately mobilised the aerial ladder platform from Yeovil, two fire appliances from Sherbourne and one fire appliance from Martock to attend this incident.

The officer in charge confirmed a semi detached property heavily smoke logged, all persons accounted for. Crews got to work using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one attack jet and the aerial ladder platform venting property from the roof.

The officer in charge confirmed a well developed fire in rear first floor compartment, the crew are at work with six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one attack jet and the aerial ladder platform venting from the roof.

The officer in charge confirmed the fire in the first floor bedroom believed to be extinguished using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one aerial ladder platform and one safety jet. Two casualties were removed from the property suffering with minor smoke inhalation. Casualties now in the hands of ambulance paramedics.

The officer in charge confirmed fire in the first floor bedroom of a semi detached property. Firefighters extinguished the fire using ten breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one safety jet and one aerial ladder platform. One casualty was conveyed to hospital via land ambulance. One cat and dog was rescued from the property and one cat was found deceased within the property.

The cause of the fire is unknown and fire investigation is currently being undertaken. The first floor was eighty percent was damaged by fire and the entire property was damaged by smoke.
